The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program is implemented through a variety of service structures to youth and adults in Carter, Elliott and Lawrence counties. By partnering with individual job seekers and employers to provide the best possible outcomes, one of WIOA’s goals is “Jobs for People and People for Jobs”. WIOA is funded by Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP, Inc.), through allocations from the United States Department of Labor, of the Kentucky Education Cabinet, Division of Workforce Services. WIOA now operates and delivers services under the umbrella of the Kentucky Career Center system which provides comprehensive offerings in partnership with the Office of Employment and Training, Vocational Rehabilitation, Office of the Blind and Adult Education. Centers that operate through NKCAA and funded by EKCEP are uniquely named Kentucky Career Center Jobsight. Our staff in each county works closely with Community Partners and Economic Development entities to insure a positive impact and outreach within our local areas.
