BaierHaus is a home décor store offering neutral, faith-inspired, and Kentucky-themed pieces that bring a calming vibe to any home. Their style is timeless and approachable. It features décor that fits beautifully year-round without being flashy.Why They Do What They Do
When we asked owner Emily Baier what motivates her, here’s what she said:
“BaierHaus is my fun business. It’s my creative outlet. I get to choose things I love and share them with others, and that’s what gets me out of bed and into the store every day.”
Her passion for curating beautiful, meaningful pieces is clear, and it’s easy to see why locals connect with her style.
What More People Should Know
Emily reminds us that running a small business isn’t always as easy as it looks:
“Small business is not for the weak. There’s so much more that goes into it than people realize, and we still have to greet everyone with a smile. A lot of people think I must be making a lot of money, but the reality is that costs keep rising. I do my best to keep prices affordable while still providing quality products.”
She and her husband also own Precision Electrical Services and two other businesses in Grayson. When do they sleep?!
Local Matters
For Emily, supporting local is a way of life:
“I’m a big local girly. I try to support local personally, myself, everywhere I can. With four businesses in the area, I want people to use us the same way we use them. The more we support each other locally, the stronger our community becomes.”
Working with the Chamber, BaierHaus taps into cross-promotion to reach more neighbors, amplify their cause, and build lasting connections.
What's Next for BaierHaus?
BaierHaus is in the middle of an exciting expansion project. Emily shared that they hope to open more retail space before the end of the year and even create opportunities for other local vendors to showcase their products without taking on a full storefront.
